I have a firm commitment from the artisan to create the Duldzin Dorje Shugden statue within 2 months time. The statue height with frame will be approximately 20″, to the tip of the hat about 18″. The statue will include the third eye of wisdom. Additionally, the artisan has included a new photo of the statue which he advises will be more similar to the finished version. ***this statue has a removable sword and it is not included in the photo. However, your statue will have the sword which will be similar to the other statue.
Please be advised that handmade statues are not exact replicas, so we usually estimate the finished statue will be 90-95% similar. The statue will be done by the same artisan in the same style, same size and same gold gilded finish – but slight variations are to be expected. Please note that custom orders are nonrefundable.
Duldzin Dorje Shugden Statue Features:
Traditionally handmade Duldzin Dorje Shugden statues are difficult to find in Nepal. Duldzin Dorje Shugden is a wrathful emanation of the wisdom deity – Manjushri. In this sculpture, Dorje Shugden rides a mythical Tibetan snow lion while surrounded by a ring of flames representing pristine awareness. The flames consume all neurotic states that can delay spiritual realization.
Furthermore, Dorje Shugden has the expression of a fierce deity with gaping mouth and canine teeth with three glaring eyes. The three eyes symbolize his knowledge of the past, present and future. He wields the curved sword in his right hand which symbolizes the power of the ultimate wisdom. In his left hand he holds a human heart near his mouth and the mongoose sits on his left forearm. Additionally, he wears the golden yellow riding hat of Chinese origin.
Custom Made Nepali Statue
Our Duldzin Dorje Shugden statue will be created using the traditional lost wax sculpting method. This traditional method has been perfected and passed down within the family castes for nearly 1000 years. Indeed, the Nepali sculptors have been the source of statues for the Tibetan monasteries for many centuries. As a result, when you purchase our statue you can rest assured it is of monastic quality.
