Our Amida Buddha statue is a true reflection of the Buddha of “Infinite Light and Life”. His monastic robe is engraved with elegant designs. Additionally, our Amida Buddha statue features a 24K gold gilded finish applied using the fire gilding method. Also, the statue was handmade in Nepal using the traditional lost wax sculpting method. As a result, the buyer can rest assured of receiving a monastic quality statue.

Amida Buddha Statue Features:

Amida Buddha sits in the full lotus pose expressing the Dhyana “meditation” mudra. The alms bowl of a monastic monk gently rests in the palm of his right hand. Symbolically, the alms bowl is a rejection of the material world and a vow of austerity. Additionally, the alms bowl holds the three nectars which are the cure for the three poisons – ignorance, desire and hatred.

Amida Buddha is also strongly affiliated with his longevity attribute which is embodied by Amitayus or Aparmita. Long life allows Buddhists additional time to accumulate merit and fulfill their vows. As a result, they may be blessed with an auspicious rebirth. Additionally, the mantra of Amida Buddha grants devotees access to his pure land of Sukhavati.
