Our oxidized copper Tibetan bhumpa set was hand crafted by the world class artisans of Patan, Nepal. Additionally, the antiquated finished is highlighted with brass rings and semiprecious stones. The high quality craftsmanship is also evident in the fine engravings that adorn our ceremonial vases.
Each bhumpa serves a different purpose during the consecration ceremony. As a result, two bhumpas are needed during the ceremony because one is the “chief” vase and the other is the “action” vase. Therefore, the chief vase stays on the altar for ceremonial effect and the action vase is used for dispensation of holy water during the ceremony. This Tibetan bhumpa set can be used for purification of Buddha statues, thangkas, people, objects or buildings.
